  Quiet location, good outlook. Big rooms but dated decor with some furniture showing major wear and needing replacement. Bed was large and comfortable. Outdoor spa was relaxing although patio area could do with some decent furniture and colour to cover the block walls. Good views of the mountains from the patio but most spas facing the dining room wall not the view. Included breakfast was basic, bacon, eggs, sausages, very 1990's. Staff were friendly.

  We booked a suite 6/23/22 For one night. The room was well appointed complete with a Jacuzzi for two (rm 111, Balfour Suite). The room had a king size bed and was very spacious with a balcony and a million dollar view of the mountains. The property obviously was recently renovated and looked beautiful. The room and tax came to $185 USD. An excellent value based on the quality of the accommodations. This is a do-over.

  We spent one night at Braemar Lodge after they kindly honoured a previous booking by family who was not able to finish their stay there due to a sudden illness. We were so grateful. Right from the start the staff were amazing and really helpful. The room was enormous and I've never slept in a bed so big! Having a private spa on the balcony was amazing and the view was incredible. The food was outstanding and the service wonderful. We have no complaints. It was such a lovely place to stay and one day we would love to return to stay again. We will also recommend this to anyone.

  Big recommend from me, absolutely loved my stay there. The rooms were warm, spacious, and well laid out, the staff were attentive and friendly. Our room, the restaurant, and the ambient surroundings had everything we needed to relax and recuperate. Thanks so much to the team at Braemar lodge.

  My first time to the south island and we chose to stay at Braemar, after reading some of the previous reviews I wondered if they were even talking about the same place as I could not find one fault. We were 2 hours early before check in and the kind staff let us have our room early, reception lady was very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in the kereru suite and were not disappointed at all. Love this place and will definitely be back again. Cheers
